Chair- Justin Scott

Vice-Chair – Lyle Kenitzer

Lyle Kenitzer is a Colorado-based student, journalist, and community leader with a strong interest in government, public policy, and civic engagement. A 2024 graduate of Florence Junior/Senior High School, he served on student council and participated in FFA. He is currently studying political science at Colorado State University Pueblo and works as a student journalist with Campus Reform. Lyle is also an alumnus of Patriot Academy’s Rocky Mountain Leadership Congress and previously interned with Leaders Launchpad through Convention of States. His leadership experience includes serving as a precinct leader and district captain with the Fremont County Republican Central Committee, as well as county and state chair for the High School Republicans. He currently serves as a county chair and Front Range Regional Vice Chair for the Colorado Young Republicans. Outside of school and civic involvement, Lyle enjoys biking, walking, and watching movies.

Bonus Member #1 – Jennifer Irvine

Jennifer was raised on a small ranch in rural Fremont County and graduated from Canon City High School. After completing her undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, she returned to Fremont County, married her high school sweetheart and completed her master’s degree in Public Administration. Jennifer is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado, has worked in private industry, and has dedicated the last twenty-four years of her professional career to public service in local government. She and her husband Derek have two daughters who attend CCHS.  She is a member and President of Elks Lodge #610, is a member and officer of the American Legion Auxillary Post #13, serves on the Citizens Advisory Committee for the College of Public Service at UCCS, is responsible for the Lector Ministry at St. Michael Catholic Church, and she actively volunteers in the community. Jennifer is a lifelong Republican and has previously served as Fremont County Republican Precinct Committee Person, Vacancy Committee Chair,man, Treasurer, and Vice Chair.  Jennifer is also the current Vice-Chairman of HD-60, and Chairman of JD11.    

Bonus Member #2 – Chipp Cumm

Chip is a retired military officer who has resided in Fremont County since 2015 and in Colorado since 2001.  He graduated from High School in 1973, immediately entered the US Air Force Academy and swore his first military oath to the U.S. Constitution on 2 July, 1973.  He met his wife Debbie while at USAFA, and after graduation they married and moved to Laughlin AFB, Texas where Chip attended Undergraduate Pilot Training.  He earned his wings, and embarked on a 32 year career in uniform flying several aircraft, most notably the Convair F-106 Delta Dart and the Mcdonnel-Douglas F-15 Eagle, accumulating 3,200 hours of flight time.  He retired from the USAF in 2004 at the rank of Colonel, and worked in his second career as a Defense Consultant for Analytic Srvices Inc. (ANSER) until retiring for the second time in 2021.  Chip has a BS in General Engineering and Physical Geography, and a Masters in Public Administration – Homeland Defense focus (with honors).  He is a former FCRCC PCP, serves on the Fremont County Airport Board, and is active in several local fraternal organizations.  

Bonus Member #3 – Lisa Pascoe

Bonus Member #4- Kay Hunsaker

Though a long time Colorado resident (attended Western Colorado University when it was still Western State College), Kay Hunsaker moved to Canon City, August of 2019. Hertz Manager was her on again and off again career most of her life with a 12 year stint being a Nanny. She Loved both positions.  Currently, she is a board member of the Fremont Center for the Arts, board member of Friends of Little Bighorn Battlefield, Vice Chair of the Elks Lodge 610 Events Committee, Co-Editor of the Leadville Elks newsletter, serves as an Election Judge for both the primary and general elections, a lifetime member of Tri Sigma Sorority, Clan McPherson, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4171 Golden, CO (father served), member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, works full time at the Front Desk of Keller Williams Cañon City office, and in her spare time enjoys watercolor classes. She is happily married to husband Randy, a retired 31 yr LAPD police officer, former Park Ranger at the Royal Gorge Bridge, and retired Corrections Officer from the Colorado Dept of Corrections. 

Vacancy Committee Chairman –  Steve Barton
